Spc. Jensen laid to rest

Christine Bestgen, Spc. Dennis Jensen’s mother, receives the United States flag in memory of her son from Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Marlette, assistant adjutant general of the South Dakota Army National Guard during his interment at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD., Aug. 26, 2011. Jensen, 21, of Sioux Falls, was serving with the 200th Engineer Company when he died in a non-combat related accident Aug. 16. Jensen died from injuries suffered while working with bridge materials near Camp Leatherneck in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan. Spc. Jensen was a 2009 graduate of Vermillion High School.
